Tory and Ben are the sweetest couple, and their April 2021 wedding was the fabulous party you hope for all brides and groom. The entire day felt like a party actually, but it flowed in stages, and we loved witnessing the results of our planning. There’s something about watching a joyous day unfold that leaves you breathless.
Getting Ready
Speaking of breathless, Tory and Ben met and were married within 6 months of meeting each other. In July of 2020, they eloped and said their vows in front of a magistrate. It was a very small moment. This day, nine months later, took place at The Country Club at Wakefield and was a “big wedding” to say the least.
While the girls got even more gorgeous in hair and make up, Tory surprised Ben with a driver (golf, not chauffeur) he’d been wanting for a long time. The photographer found him in the halls getting used to the feel of it in his hands!
A First Look
The Ceremony
The plan was for as an outdoor ceremony, but rain forced us indoors. Of course, we know how to zig and zag and Plan B was just as lovely.
Details
The palette of blues (notice the UNC-Chapel Hill merch), gold, white and cream made for an elegant reception and this couple REALLY packed in the personal details. Everywhere you looked, you could find elements that revealed what these two care about, what they love to do and who they are.
Reception
The wedding party sat at a long table in the banquet hall, banked with flowers, greenery and candles, and guests were treated to a sit down dinner. Great toasts, lots of laughter and cake cutting gave way to the real fun, when everyone hit the dance floor. These folks know how to party.
Congratulations
Their whirlwind romance left us in awe, and there BIG wedding was a blow out, ending in a sparkler send-off. We’re so excited about the future for Tory and Ben. Many happy anniversaries to you!
