Wedding Planning: Biltmore Estate October 2022
Sarah and Rob were married in October of 2022, and decided that they wanted to tour The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. Premier Party Planner’s Owner Nicole Conder (also Sarah’s cousin) was thrilled to help them plan their wedding day at this iconic venue. For Sarah and Rob, it was a place of natural beauty and magic, and for our Nicole, it was a bucket list planning opportunity and a chance to celebrate her cousin’s new chapter with Rob.
Historic Wedding Setting
This estate, built by George Vanderbilt and first opened on Christmas Eve of 1895, is an embarrassment of riches. There are so many places to capture the most beautiful photos of first looks, the wedding party, the details, the views … we love The Biltmore Estate. With its venerable and varied history, gorgeous grounds and perfect spaces for vignettes, grand scenery and private moments, Sarah and Rob could not have chosen better. The results were spectacular.
Sarah is originally from up state NY, so the surrounding natural scenery felt like home to her. She is a self-described plant mom, so with Rob as the ever-supportive plant partner, it was a no-brainer that they would include the incredible Conservatory located right on Biltmore Estate.
The original plan was to have the ceremony on the East Lawn, with its stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As the day approached, however, a hurricane headed toward the area, and we quickly shifted the wedding ceremony to the Conservatory. The guest count for this affair was perfect, as everyone was able to fill the Sitting Room inside the Conservatory to watch the couple say their vows. We value our ability to be nimble in situations like this and it was an intimate and sophisticated.

Once the I Dos were done, the cocktail hour began, and the entire Conservatory space performed its role as wedding host to perfection. Guests enjoyed wandering the curated plants, flowers, succulents and little places of interest. It was magical. Afterwards, everyone made their way to our massive reception tent set up on the East Lawn. The lights, plants, toasts and amazing spread made it a party and true celebration. Everyone danced the night away!
Every wedding or event we plan is special, and this one was also one for the books. Congratulations to Sarah and Rob, and thank you for letting us play such a role in your wedding day.
