Wedding Planning: Walnut Hill April 2024
Kristin and Brian were married in August of 2024 at Walnut Hill, just outside of Raleigh, and their day felt lush, joyful, and full of personality. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear the couple had a strong vision: greenery everywhere. From a custom ceremony arbor to chandeliers dripping in foliage, the design blurred the lines between indoors and out, creating a romantic, garden-inspired atmosphere that felt both elevated and welcoming.
Preparations
The morning unfolded with relaxed excitement. Brian and his crew kicked things off with cards and camaraderie in the groom’s house, while Kristin and her bridesmaids enjoyed a little pampering in the bridal house. A lifelong Disney fan, Kristin chose a gown from the Disney Bridal Collection—an effortlessly perfect fit that made her look, quite literally, like she’d stepped out of a fairytale.
Before the ceremony, Kristin shared a series of first looks, including a moment that stole everyone’s heart. After seeing his mom for the first time in her gown, the couple’s son summed it up perfectly: “You look like a princess!” It was sweet, unscripted, and entirely on brand for a day centered on family and love.

The reception delivered all the fun—bouquet and garter tosses, spontaneous dance battles, a packed dance floor, and a sparkling send-off that closed the night on the highest note.
