Wedding Planning: Walnut Hill May 2024

Stephanie and Justin’s May 4, 2024 wedding at Walnut Hill felt like a love letter to spring itself. With the season in full bloom, the day leaned into a palette of soft blues and warm peaches—fresh, hopeful, and full of life.

The Preparations for "I Will."

The morning set the tone with personality and fun. To balance the bridesmaids’ cozy PJ photos, Justin’s groomsmen arrived ready to represent—each sporting their favorite sports team jersey. As proud NC State fans, that team spirit ran strong all weekend and added an easygoing, joyful energy to the getting-ready moments. Family played a meaningful role as well, with Justin’s father standing beside him as best man.

May Wedding Florals

Florals played a starring role in bringing that vision to life. Lush arrangements by Color Fields Farm added texture and movement throughout the day, while Stephanie’s bouquet held some of the most meaningful details of all. Wrapped around the stems were two handkerchiefs belonging to passed family members, including one from her late father. These heirlooms also appeared in the flatlay photos, a quiet and tender way to honor loved ones who were deeply present in spirit.

A First Look at Walnut Hill

One of the most intimate moments of the day came during Stephanie and Justin’s first look. In private, they exchanged personal vows, letters, and gifts. Stephanie surprised Justin with a watch, while Justin gifted her a delicate glass rose—and went one step further by having a custom song written and composed just for her.

The Festivities & Special Touches

With the threat of rain and heavy humidity, the couple made the thoughtful decision to hold their ceremony indoors, facing Walnut Hill’s serene pond. The setting remained beautiful and calm, allowing everyone to stay present and comfortable. Guests later signed postcards filled with well wishes for a unique and interactive guest book—each note a future reminder of the love surrounding them that day.

The reception was just as vibrant as the florals. Dow Oak Events kept the energy high, filling the room with color and celebration, while Funky Fresh served a crowd-pleasing meal and Banko Bake delivered sweet treats to end the night. One of the most emotional moments came during the mother/son dance—when Justin’s father invited Stephanie onto the dance floor for a special dance in honor of her late father. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room, just full hearts and happy tears.

Stephanie and Justin’s wedding was a beautiful blend of color, creativity, family, and meaning—and an honor for Premier Party Planners to bring to life.
