Kim and Zack’s September 2022 wedding is a study in how to choose your vendors well so that you can stand back on the day and relish the magic.
Walnut Hill is a venue that Premier Party Planners has worked with many times and it is already a naturally lush and beautiful spot. Working with Kim, we made sure that her desire for loads of blossoms, a consistent palette, a true party and elegant images capturing the celebration and mood were all was and exceeded.
The Right Florist Can Make a Huge Difference
On this gorgeous day in Raleigh, Lilac Floral made early autumn feel like May with their incredible arrangements and flourishes both outside and in. There were neutral blooms with pops of peach, blush, and pale blue. The couple said their vows under a deconstructed arbor comprised of lush greenery, individual blooms. We later repurposed these at the couple’s sweetheart table. We did the same with the aisle markers which were transported from the ceremony site to the reception, where they became centerpieces.
For the reception in the White Barn, Lilac draped the chandeliers with greenery that transported guests to a garden indoors. The flowers truly complemented the Groom and Groomsmen’s black tuxes and the Bridesmaid’s dusty Carolina blue dresses. The best addition to their bridal party was their sweet Goldendoodle, Kylo. Not only did the bride and groom take photos with Kylo following their first look prior to the ceremony; Kylo was escorted down the aisle by one of the groomsmen for the ceremony as well!

Each of Kim and Zack’s vendors were able to achieve the wedding vision and overlap seamlessly with what Walnut Hill already has to offer. It is bright and airy, has lots of places and opportunities for excellent photographs, plenty of space for dining at dancing at the reception and more.
From Under the Oak Catering, to Party Reflections to The Cake Lady, everyone knew exactly what the assignment was and the results speak for themselves. The Original Cake Lady created a classic 3-tier, all-white wedding cake with a miniature representation of their dog Kylo appearing to take a little bite out of the cake. It was a fantastic and personal touch. They also had customized chopsticks at every place setting that were favors for each of their guests.

At this wedding, the answer was yes! Every element that the couple wanted for themselves and their guests was present and meaningful. Couple do not need to follow every wedding trend they see on social media, but they should work with vendors who listen and understand their goals and what matters the most for their big day. Personal photos were displayed, the lighting was perfect as the sun went down, the DJ kept the music going for the inevitable dance party
