Lauren and Matt’s wedding was a mix of elegance and boho and they chose Walnut Hill as the backdrop. Between the Estate House, Hill House, Barn, and variety of garden settings, couples have options for indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions.
Preparation
Lauren was a knockout bride in her lace gown, and her bridesmaids in pink/blush dresses, were the perfect cadre of sisters for the big day. And speaking of sisters, Lauren is an identical twin, and the pair share a really strong bond. Her twin was by her side all day, and of course, acted as her Matron of Honor. While they lost their mom a few years ago, Matt’s mother Carol was a loving and supportive member of the party. It was a joyous morning of prep leading up to the vows.
First Touch
Lauren and Matt shared a first touch and some private words with each other and it was a beautiful moment. Matt wanted to wait to see his bride as she was coming down the aisle, and who could blame him?
The Ceremony
The weather was gorgeous as the couple exchanged vows at Walnut Hill’s Open Air Chapel. From the blue skies, floral arrangements, and lake views, this June wedding shined.
The Details
There was lots of pale pink, white, champagne, and gold throughout the decor, and the outdoor atmosphere was lush and complemented it all perfectly. Guests left messages and took images for the couple to have as keepsakes. Family photos were displayed of beloved members, and their dog made an appearance on the cake – a fun touch. And yes, there was plenty of laughter, toasting and dancing at the reception.

We love these sweet, quiet moments between bride and groom. While the cheers and sparklers are for the loving community that surrounds newlyweds, there’s something perfect to a last private dance. Congrats, Lauren and Matt. Many happy returns!
