Chelsea and TJ chose Rose Hill as the venue for their gorgeous September wedding, and the couple made sure to incorporate much of what this beautiful spot has to offer. The views for the ceremony were perfection and there were plenty of places for guests to gather, for sharing private moments, and for the photographer to capture special vignettes. From the preparation time to the last goodbye, we hope couples consider the place just as much as the theme of their wedding.
The wedding party donned their finest for the day, and we especially loved the bridesmaids dresses. In keeping with the fall theme, the ladies wore mauve and dusty rose dresses in velvet that were not only on trend, but looked lush and elegant. After getting ready, the bride and groom to be exchanged private love letters before the ceremony.
An Outdoor Ceremony
On this lovely September day, the skies were blue, the guests were smiling and TJ looked absolutely thrilled to see Chelsea walking down the aisle to him. Even in the autumn, outdoor weddings are spectacular. This is still The South, afterall, and we love an outdoor wedding on a pretty day!
Snacks at the Wedding
One fun detail we provided for this pair: mini pretzels. You heard us correctly. TJ is a bit of a snacker, and we wanted to make sure he didn’t get “hangry” on his wedding day. So his favorite snack was always available on the sweetheart table where he could grab a handful throughout the evening.
We also made sure the same need to refuel was available for guests by providing a cookie table at the reception. Whenever a guest needed to grab a bite before returning to the dance floor, there was always something sweet close at hand.
Another thoughtful detail was the table numbers at each reception table. These doubled as mini guest books, and each table number represented a year of marriage. Guests were encouraged to leave advice and notes for the couple to read each year on their anniversary. Guests took this seriously and provided lots of written encouragement and love.
The Indoor Reception
If you plan on dancing, (and why not!?), then Rose Hill’s reception hall has you covered. With her gown bustled and his tie straightened one more time, Chelsea and TJ took to the floor but were not alone there for long. Everyone danced late into the evening before the sparkler send off.
The couple chose to cut a small 1-tier cake for photos, and served their guests hot cinnamon rolls as a dessert course following dinner. It was such a warm (literally) and unpretentious way to make sure everyone had something sweet. And of course, there was that cookie table with authentic Italian cookies from a local bakery.
Start to finish, outside to inside, Chelsea and TJ’s wedding had all the elements that showcased who they are and what they love in a venue that supported both traditional and romantic themes. Congratulations to this lovely couple!
