When Teri and Chris came to Premier Party Planners – less than two weeks after getting engaged, we might add – we knew immediately that this wedding was going to be a blast to plan and memorable after the last champagne glass was put away.

And we were right. These two knew what they liked and didn’t like, had a vision for their day and a spark for each other, so the process was creative and went quickly and beautifully. We scheduled their day for October 3, 2020 at Traine and before long a vision board was in hand.

Prep & Play

On the day, photographer Montana Burkett captured images of the bride and groom with their party outdoors and in and the atmosphere was carefree, despite the year we were surviving. All of the stress melted away making room for laughs, fun and anticipation.

The Ceremony

Premier’s Tara Ruffier was the Planner-on-Point for this couple and shared that on that October day, Traine was “decked out in metallic navy, velvet emerald and modern florals, and was quickly transformed into the wedding venue of Teri & Chris’ dreams. From custom escort cards (made by Tara) to the spectacular moon arch, it was as though the Pinterest board from all those months ago had come to life.”

Teri and Chris said their vows in front of a large hoop that was absolutely exploding with blooms and greens. Lanterns and candlelight made it even more magnificent. The couple had guests spaced accordingly and Chris’s son played the role of Best Man. It was important to them that he be a big part of the day and he relished being in the mix from start to finish. He looked pretty dapper too!

The Details

Among the bold navy and metallic elements, Traine was bursting with soft whites and greens and the florals spanned from large centerpieces to delicate blooms. The mix of fresh and earthy with velvet, glass and metal was perfect.

Reception & Party

This was not our first wedding to plan at Traine (check out Sam & Martin’s October 2019 wedding), and we hope that it won’t be the last. The ability to have lots of areas for guests to safely gather, dance and celebrate made everyone relaxed and ready to party. And this group did! Guests played corn hole, enjoyed cocktails both inside and out and, of course, got out on the floor to spin, laugh and show off their moves.

Send-Off Gift

This one is pretty hard to beat, Grooms out there. The couple’s getaway car was also Chris’s gift to Teri: a brand new Challenger. Their send off was lovely and a pretty spectacular way to end a fabulous day.
