Why Not Philly?
Sydney and Daniel wanted to be married at a Mormon Temple and since options in Apex, NC and Washington, DC, their two first choices, were unavailable the weekend they’d chosen, they decided to go big and to go multi-city for their wedding celebrations. From their current home in Utah, the couple flew to Philadelphia to say their vows at the massive and beautiful temple there. The next day, they drove to Raleigh for their reception and celebration at Brier Creek Country Club. No big deal, right? What’s a few states when you have a plan and are in love? And this couple is not only deeply in love, they look it. They are stunning and beaming in every image!
The Philly Wedding
On March 15th, 2019 Sydney and Daniel said “I Do” for life after arriving safely to Philly where they got all glammed up and ready. They chose a First Look before the ceremony, and the photos say it all. They were so thrilled and excited, and their photographer took advantage of the city for some amazing images, as well. You’ll notice a shot on the iconic courthouse steps from the movie “Rocky” and above is a fantastic image of them on the median downtown.
The Raleigh Reception
The couple made it south and their reception on March 16th was held at the Brier Creek Country Club. Daniel’s tux jacket was mangled during the commute from their wedding to reception and the damage was quite noticeable. No problem! We sent out for a replacement from Men’s Wearhouse and everything turned out grand. There were no complaints about Sydney’s dress. She looked gorgeous, demure and elegant and her gossamer train completed the look. Hair up or down, she was picture perfect.
The Details
We want to compliment this couple for the details and choices they made. Fabrics, florals and the simply elegant cake made their reception so smart. It was a perfect way to incorporate a real party into their big celebration after a church wedding up north.
We’re not encouraging couples to race across the country – or world – to get married in stages, but these two made it look so easy. The reception was so much fun, too. Everyone enjoyed cake and conversation, were able to celebrate and toast the bride and groom and they were sent off on their honeymoon with sparklers and cheers!
