After the pandemic of 1918, our country entered an era we now refer to affectionately as The Roaring 20s. F.S. Fitzgerald wrote The Great Gatsby, jazz was the soundtrack and day drinking was de rigueur. Historians will tell you that ultimately this never-ending party – what Hemingway call the Moveable Feast – came to grinding halt with prohibition. But seriously, who wants to read a blog about that?

Meet Samantha and Max who, with our help, had a Roaring 20s wedding last year with enough sparkle to make Daisy Buchanan dizzy.

The Place

Park View and Market View are actually two separate venues, and during “normal” times, you have to rent them individually. Due to Covid however, this sassy couple reserved both for their late summer wedding. It was a delightful perk and we’re claiming it as a silver lining for sure. Samantha and Max have such great personalities, and they brought the gilded, jazz age, new century vibe and vision to their entire event.

Time to Prep

Samantha and Max were a blast to work with and determined to go forward with their big day even with the anxiety we all felt being in the teeth of the pandemic in August. On top of that, we had an imposed curfew of 10pm the entire weekend that was unexpected. But, our team was solid and everyone involved was generous and on pointe. Vendors and guests understood the situation, hit their marks, said their lines and the party was on… just two hours earlier. Let us tell you: when everyone drags the net to shore in the same direction, amazing things can happen. In this case, it was a wedding to remember.

A Quick Peek

Samantha and Max made time for a First Look and it was darling – like them. Their photographer, Chad Winstead, captured her entry down the stair case to a very excited Max.

The Ceremony

The ceremony itself was at Park View and the reception at Market View, and with the gorgeous lights and surrounded by their loved ones, these two made it official.

Sending newlyweds off during a “good year” is amazing. Seeing Samantha and Max succeed in getting the day they wanted during a pandemic? A triumph. Congratulations you two!!
