This Tim Burton loving couple said their vows at the Renaissance in Raleigh on September 4th of 2021. It was a mix of colorful and moody elements, along with rich, deep colors for Sam and Sean and a truly fun and memorable night.
The bridesmaids wore black, the officiant – dear friend Justin Farrales – wore a deep red velvet tux, and the couple even had a custom portrait done of them in the style of Tim Burton’s films.

For the ceremony, Sam chose to rent our hexagon backdrop, which was draped with gorgeous florals and fabric in mauve, pink and blush hues from Fallon’s Flowers. With the black and white elements, the autumnal color choices popped.

The Reception
Guests were treated to a sit down dinner at the reception, where they enjoyed toasts and even some laughs. Someone moved Sam’s chair out of the way while she was thanking everyone and she ended up on her bottom. Florals, votive candles and touches of deep red, pink, and green were at every table.
Jenga pieces were used for guests to leave notes for the couple, between dancing, hitting the photo booth and consuming coordinated cupcakes and treats.
The Newlyweds
Photographer Adrienne, from F8 Photo Studios grabbed some great shots of the couple downtown, including a favorite of ours: Sean dipping and kissing Sam a la the WWII photo of the GI kissing a girl on the street. It was an epic night for an adorable couple.
