Alexandra (Alex) Chiha and Chris Long were married on August 20th of 2022 at an impeccable venue we all love: The Bradford. Theirs was a stylish affair, with lots of personal flair, tender moments, specially-chosen elements, a couple of bridal changes of clothing, and the sweetest last dance. They planned a perfect day, and we loved helping them pull it off with their other amazing vendors.
Wedding Preparations Photos
Alex’s dress(es) were a glorious study in costume changes, and each one was was prettier than the last. Her ceremony gown had interchangeable sleeves giving her one look for the ceremony, and another for her first dance. For the last part of the evening, she changed, and the effect was stunning. Alexandra: you were perfection!
First Touch at the Bradford
Alex and her father shared a special moment before the ceremony. Alex and Chris preferred a first touch instead of a first look for themselves. While they hoped to save the “big reveal” for the ceremony aisle, Alex couldn’t help trying to sneak a peek at her groom-to-be.
Bradford NC Ceremony
The couple said their vows outdoors, in front of the painted fireplace and chimney at The Bradford. It was banked with flowers, the sun was shining, and everyone celebrated. It felt like a proper garden party.
Outdoor Weddings at The Bradford
Outdoor weddings at The Bradford are beautiful enough. Add vintage lounge sets from the divine thinkers at Greenhouse Picker Sisters, and exquisite florals from Blossom Artistry, and you have the garden of love. Every element for this late summer wedding was on point. The mix of exterior atmosphere and greenery, the white chairs, aisle florals, cushions in the palette, etc., worked with Alex’s aesthetic.
One of our bride Alexandra’s hobbies is thrifting and upcycling decor items, so rest assured that she had her hand in ideas and elements for their big day. During the planning, she was often on reconnaissance trips herself. Her eye for florals, lighting and details were lovely.
The bride also hand-painted the candlesticks and paired mix-and-match votives to achieve the romantic summer vibes she wanted. Everything was intentional and inclusive. The couple’s dog even made an appearance.
