Lee Caitlin and Caleb were married in an October wedding planned by Premier Party Planners, and we absolutely loved working with this generous and fun couple. They wanted a church wedding followed by a big party and that’s what we delivered, after getting to know them. They are two of the sweetest people, and the whole experience of executing this wedding was a joy. Brides: take notice of the details. Lee Caitlin had so many in mind, and each one made an impact.
Pre-church Preparation
The ladies and gents got ready with their best friends before heading to St. Michael and the altar. Rather than a first look, Lee Caitlin and Caleb chose to have a first touch.
The Ceremony
St. Michael is a truly beautiful Catholic Church in Cary, NC and it set the tone for the ceremony. Glorious stained glass and warm light, along with the blessings of faith and their family made these nuptials feel intimate and classic.
The UpChurch Reception Details
Lee Caitlin is such a thoughtful person and was very much that same kind of bride. She cared about her guests and it showed in every lovely detail. There were personalized luggage tags (a hint to the couple’s love of travel) given as party favors, handmade and individually wrapped cake pops, games to play, and two specialty food trucks for the evening snackers and those guests who wanted a to-go box of food. Bridesmaids carried gold hoops with florals for the ceremony instead of bouquets, and these were later repurposed for some of the guest table centerpieces, a nice touch. She made sure everything and everyone was considered.
Wedding Reception at The Upchurch
We are such fans of The Upchurch as a venue. A first blush look will have you thinking Southern, but ladies and gentlemen, the sophistication level of this place is off the charts. This is a new venue opened by Premier Party Planners’ friend Cara Powell, who was a wedding photographer for more than 20 years. We know that Cara and her team put so much thought into every square foot of this place, while carefully restoring elements of the historic home and grounds. It’s a knockout venue!
The Main House (truly, brilliantly restored), The Magnolia Lawn (epic and aptly-named), and The Conservatory (spacious and ready for a party) provide so many options for event planners and guests. All of these spots made a perfect canvas for Lee Caitlin and Caleb’s reception, post-vow entrance, and the party that followed.
