Wedding Planning: The Maxwell Venue May 2024

Lauren and Charlie asked our team at Premier for what we call “Partial Planning” services, with a strong focus on assistance with design. We started by narrowing down the couple’s color palette, which was based on some of the Lauren’s favorite flowers and ideas for the bridesmaid’s dresses. Once we’d nailed these down, we were off and running. Next steps included choosing the linens, working on the custom floral design, finding the perfect stationary, and sorting out all the other elements needed to pull together a Memorial Day weekend wedding at The Maxwell. When the day arrived, the weather also said, “I do.”

Getting Dressed Up at The Maxwell

It was important to Lauren to capture images of all the fun that goes into getting ready with her bridesmaids. The vibe was relaxed, and the photographers at The Greenes Photo + Films absolutely nailed it. Lauren is so close with these ladies, and she not only showed her love with little custom touches, but they made a party of the preparations, truly enjoying themselves. Forget the stress, you brides-to-be out there! Love is in the air, and surely that begins with a bride’s dearest friendships and those moments of preparation, anticipation, and silliness.

First Looks at The Maxwell

Lauren and Charlie wanted to have first looks with their respective parents, as well as with each other. For the couple’s first look, the couple read private vows that brought them both to tears. The Maxwell features an elegant and monochromatic space where brides and grooms can see each other for the first time and have a private moment.

The Maxwell Marriage Scene

Premier Party Planners was delighted to provide our copper arch for the ceremony, and Sweet Love Blossoms, their florist, completed it with colorful florals, perfect for the summer setting.

Summer Wedding Details

Premier’s own in-house table numbers and card box were also employed for Lauren and Charlie’s reception and this not only kept extra stress at bay, but it helped the couple come in under budget for their entire day: Win-Win!

In honor of family members, the couple chose to display wedding photos of their parents & grandparent’s weddings, so guests could take in the fashions and traditions. Everyone loved seeing how these beloved members celebrated their own nuptials “back in the day.”

A Maxwell Summer Party

It’s called a reception, but really isn’t it a party? We think so, too. And these two had a ball dancing, toasting, playing games and being “received” as husband and wife by their nearest and dearest.
