Forgive us if we are just too romantic. It’s sort of the business we’re in. The wedding of Dena & Jeff took place before a Justice of the Peace with an enormous amount of love. Then time passed and a family happened.

After three decades, they decided that it was clearly time for a wedding. Dena deserved to wear the gown, stare deeply into the eyes of her soldier and say “YES, I DO” again and in front of their kids, dearest friends and family. WHO, we ask you, says no to that? We at Premier were a firm YES.

Getting Ready

A little background is in order. Groom Jeff served in the Gulf War, but he and Dena fell in love before his deployment. When he returned, they made it official without the pomp and expense of a big wedding. After that elopment 30 years ago, Dena decided their 30th wedding anniversary should be a true celebration.

The Ceremony

Jeff was in the Army for 25 years and the military is in their blood. Jeff’s father is a retired Army officer; Dena’s son-in-law is in the Marines. There was a lot of hardware being worn on the groom’s side.

Dena and Jeff’s daughter Lindsie, son Kyle, and their spouses were in the bridal party, with daughter as Matron of Honor and son as Best Man. Want to chat about tears? Heaven help us. It was sublime seeing the children of the bride and groom openly moved by the ceremony, the vows, and the commitment that this day represented to the family. It really was a family affair.

Reception & Details

Inside or out, the Rand-Bryan House has lovely spots for a wedding reception and full on dance party and we have the pictures to prove it.

Congratulations

Every wedding we help plan and execute is a big deal to us and this one was special PLUS. When you can say “I Do” after you’ve done life with someone, made a family, watched your own children grow up and get married and then say yes again, THAT is to be celebrated.

Cheers to Dena and Jeff and here’s to 30 more!
