The weekend before our world in 2020 came to a grinding halt due to the pandemic … in fact THE weekend … was basically March 14th – or Pi Day. We all sort of remember that weekend as the wake-up call that started it all. For Megan and Ric, March 14th was the day they went from you and me to WE. Premier Party Planners was thrilled to be a part of this day, helped along by the team at Chatham Station, some awesome vendors and a fantastic couple.
The Setting
Chatham Station brings a completely different vibe than say, Brier Creek Country Club or Duke Chapel. It’s industrial chic, smaller scale, and hip attention to detail make it a supremely cool place to tie the knot. Located in downtown Cary, there are places for the bride, groom and photographer to capture seriously great shots.
Prep Time
The bride and attendants, mothers and others, all got dressed and ready at Mayton Inn before heading to Chatham Station for the ceremony. Megan’s translucent skin, gorgeous red locks and amazing dress made her a stunning bride. She adored her dress (we all did) as it had a full skirt, pockets!!, and a striking detail on the back.

The Details
Years from now, when Megan and Ric are telling their children about the day, and about the fact that they started their lives right before this country was about to be thrown into relative chaos – they will mention the date: March 14, 2020. We also know it as Pi day and no one (we repeat NO ONE) wants to say they served cake on this day. The pies were a huge hit and most would agree that you’d sell your own mother for Slice Pie Company’s banana creme pie…
The clean, crisp and minimalist details chosen created a wholly sophisticated look for both the ceremony and reception. Vines, copper backdrops and alter pieces, the pale mint green, whites and beiges, combined with brick, wood and eucalyptus worked beautifully together and allowed the couple to shine.
The Reception
Cheers and so much love to you both, Megan and Ric! You’re a great couple, who knows how to throw excellent party and you deserve nothing but the good stuff life has to offer.
