The [Delayed] Day
Katie & Will were forced to reschedule their wedding due to Covid and after showing unbelievable patience and good faith, they were married at Walnut Hill. These two were so laid back and truly excited to get married. Their sign “We’ve waited a year for this – Party Accordingly” pretty much said it all.
Venue & Prep
Walnut Hill is a special venue, not only because it offers indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony and reception, but because guests have multiple places to relax, wander and connect while celebrating the couple. Kate and Will chose well, and used the space beautifully. Their pink and blue palette were perfect for this setting, too. The couple said their “I Dos” outside on September 3, 2021, and followed it up with a seriously fun reception that went on long after the sun went down.
Katie and Will exchanged handwritten letters prior to the ceremony, and each wrote their personal vows and these brought the house down. They teased each other and there was laughter, love and silliness, as well as a few tears during the vows.
The Details & Reception
Guests were welcomed to the ceremony with his and hers cocktails and the party lasted into the night with glow sticks, dancing, and fun. Donuts & mini bundt cakes took the place of traditional wedding cake. While their dogs couldn’t be with them in person on the wedding day, they were definitely incorporated in the event with a custom guest book, bar signs, cocktail napkins, and koozies.

Finally, we sent these two off into the night with glow sticks, dancing and cheers!
