Jamora and Willie were married in March of this year at The Cloth Mill in Hillsborough, North Carolina. The outdoor setting was idyllic with the brick exteriors, strings of lights and Edison bulbs, the arbor banked with peonies, roses and greenery, rows of chairs elegantly decorated with florals, and the expanse of gorgeous green lawn. The English Garden exceeded everyone’s expectations with the floral arrangements. You could have been in old Europe at a winery or lawn party, but with the addition of a totally modern, joyous and upbeat vibe.
Getting Ready
The bride and bridesmaids got ready at the Mill, while Willie and his groomsmen arrived from the Hilton at Duke University looking absolutely perfect in their navy suits and pink ties. This wedding party was, to the person, gorgeous!
The Ceremony
Even wearing masks didn’t dampen the guests’ moods. Everyone was thrilled to see Jamora appear at the end of the aisle and make her way to Willie, preceded by an adorable flower girl and all of the attendants, dressed in pale pink. These two said their vows, Reverend Amos blessed their union, and the cocktail hour began.
Reception
Guests enjoyed a buffet from CHRG Catering, a series of funny and tender toasts, watched the cake cutting and finally hit the dance floor, surrounding the couple in love. Jamora and Willie’s first dance was to “Sailing” (Avant), but they were soon joined by everyone else who was ready to dance. In other words, they were joined by everyone.
Details
From table cards, to the votive candles, to the wedding cake from Capital Cakes laden with fresh flowers, all the details revealed an enormous amount of thought, love and planning.
The couple’s palette of pale pink, cream, white, navy, and green was woven through all of the decor, from the table settings to the linens, florals and takeaway gifts. Simplicity and elegance best describe the decor. Joy and hope best describe the atmosphere. It was a happy, beautiful wedding and reception from beginning to end.
