Jess & Zach were so much fun to work with and our Tara Rufflier shared that it was also a fun wedding to plan, because this plan was backed by vision and great energy. The couple started as day-of coordination clients of ours, but quickly realized that they needed more help as they dove into the planning process. We upgraded their package to partial planning and got down to work!
Getting Ready
Jess and Zach chose Whitaker & Atlantic as their venue and it suited them perfectly. The wedding party got ready at the venue and once the photographer arrived and everyone was giddy – and ready – we started capturing moments.
Jess’s dress was a knock out. With a flowing skirt and lace bodice that appeared to have floating flowers, she looked like an angel. You couldn’t get the bride or groom to stop smiling.

Zach took Jess’s last name, which we thought was a cool take on the usual custom and in keeping with their modern vibe.
Details
Jess is a graphic designer and designed all of the stationary for the wedding including their cartoon welcome sign which was a huge hit. Zach is also artistic and creates custom woodworking pieces. These skills were evidenced in the candlesticks Zach made for the guest tables. To keep with their modern tastes, tables were set with marble chargers with futuristic flatware, and their florals, executed perfectly by the amazing Lilac Floral Decor, created a cool minimalist balance.
Other draws to Whitaker & Atlantic were the fact that this venue is located in the same warehouse building as Lynnwood brewing (Cheers!) a neon sign shop (hell fun atmospherics), and Hummingbird Cafe/Posh Nosh Catering – who created their custom menu. Everything came together harmoniously.
Reception
Their event came to an end with a sparkler send off, but not before toasts, cocktails, dining and lots of time on the dance floor.
