A Fairytale, both sweet and chic
Haley and Matt are an extremely vivacious and fun couple who tied the knot at Chatham Station in November of 2019 in a wedding described as both elegant and bohemian. Loads of natural light and texture, combined with warm colors, metallics, wood accents and exposed brick were merely the backdrop that, along with the couple’s loving friends and family, set the scene. These two are adored and we understand why.
The Couple
After meeting and feeling a pretty immediate spark, these two committed to getting to know each other better and both realized that it was a fairytale love affair. Both are romantic and we made sure to incorporate that sense of magic into their day. Photos of the couple with their attendants were taken at special spots in downtown Cary, NC and the photos show off their obvious chemistry and joie de vivre.
A First Look
Haley in a vintage inspired lace gown and be-jeweled, holding an autumnal bouquet sneaked up on Matt for their first look before the ceremony. What was unique and cool was that they included their wedding party in the moment. Everyone became emotional and we loved that they shared that experience with those who would stand up with them at their ceremony.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was modern meets bohemian in loo, but had significant nods to the traditional. Guests faced large asymmetrical pillars created by Haley’s dad and beautifully decorated with the colors that Haley chose: burnt orange, deep green, coral, burgundy, pale pink, mauve and cream.
The Details
Coordinated colors and a variety of textures were everywhere. From Matt’s tie to the floral arrangements, to the place settings, candles and other decor, Haley’s flair for design was evident. Greenery of all kinds, pampas grass, eucalyptus, fern and assorted florals were combined with gold accents, votive candles and arrangements that were both tall and short. Circular tables and a long wooden harvest banquet table completed the bohemian look.
The Reception
The reception was exactly what you hope for when you get married: a big party with those you love – eating, drinking, toasting and dancing! They checked off every box.
