Wedding Planning: Walnut Hill Venue December 2023
Emilie & Carl decided to kick off their life together as husband and wife with a New Year’s Eve wedding at Walnut Hill. The venue was perfect and so is this wonderful couple. Emily knew that she wanted to say her vows at night under the stars and twinkle lights overlooking the pond, and while December brought some briskness to, the entire day was spectacular and filled with plenty of joy and warmth.
A New Year's Eve Wedding
A First Look & All Day Celebrations
What was so amazing about this day was that it truly was almost an entire day of celebrating. The couple and their attendants got ready early in the morning of December 31st, and as vendors set up, lights were hung, and photos were taken, the sun settled over the venue. Emilie and Carl had a first look and enjoyed some pre-vow champagne while getting other portraits snapped. Finally, it was time for their 6 pm wedding in front of family and excited guests.
The Ceremony
Emilie was escorted down the aisle by her brother, while Carl was flanked by both of his parents. Carl’s brother officiated the wedding, and it was not only a family affair, the vows were full of laughter and happy tears. As the sun was setting, the lights shined brightly against the deep blue sky. The setting was a knockout.
Ringing in the New Year
Inside the barn at Walnut Hill, tables were set up for guests to enjoy a family style dinner, and they kept the champagne flowing all night! We loved seeing guests passing platters of food while laughing and sharing stories. This reception felt like a reunion as much as a wedding.
Later on, the Two Roosters Ice Cream truck stopped to serve late night treats for the couple and their celebrating crowd of guests.
From "I Do" to "Happy New Year!"
What began at 8 am kept going long after midnight. Everyone danced until the countdown, and then “Happy New Year!” More champagne and midnight kisses were followed by a glorious sparkler send-off.
