Audrey Mendes & Stephen Kelleher were married in October of last year at Ardenwood Farm, a brand new venue in Chapel Hill. This gorgeous spot is a horse boarding farm and there are amazing views in every direction. It is a wedding photographer’s (and PLANNER’S) dream.
The Couple
On the day of their wedding, the couple were able to capture moments underneath enormous old growth trees, with horses grazing in the background. The spot was perfect for an autumnal wedding that was both elegant and easy-going, just like the couple.
The Ceremony
Audrey and Stephen said their vows outdoors (guests were masked until time to blow bubbles and cheers) and the weather held. Until it didn’t.
Just as the reception began, it started pouring and it continued to absolutely pour for the rest of the event. No problem. We had a tent set up and the party went on and on.
The Details
The details were many and each one was clever and personal. From mini cakes, to printed snapshots, little pots of honey for guests to take home, to glow sticks for their send off, these two included all of their loved ones in the sweetness of their night.
Reception & Party
What rain?!
The rain never let up, but the crowd kept toasting and partying, and the couple danced until the very end of the evening. Audrey and Stephen exuded so much joy, silliness and gratitude for each other and this new chapter, it was contagious.
The Send-Off
