Laura and Nick’s September 2021 wedding took place at Market Hall in Raleigh and their’s was an event with sentiment, style and substance. The couple made sure that family was included and remembered, and they included lots of personal touches in both the detail and the day’s activities.
Preparations
While Nick and the groomsmen readied themselves offsite, Laura and her bridesmaids got ready at Market Hall in the bridal suite and enjoyed time to dress, laugh and get ready for the ceremony. Autumnal colors were a part of the florals and red absolutely popped on the bridesmaids. We love a bold palette as much as a traditional softer one.
The Ceremony
After the vows and sweet moments at the alter inside, photographer Chris Nieto took the couple for a stroll to capture great shots of them out of doors, in downtown Raleigh.
The Reception
Laura and Nick shared their first dance as husband and wife and then invited not just their parents, but their siblings to join the dance floor for a special dance that had everyone in tears from the sentiment. There was so much love and hope – laughter and silliness – it was apt for this couple’s reception.
Now about the cake ….. it took three people to carry it in to the venue, and each tier was a different flavor (equally delicious). Guests enjoyed snacking on slices of cake all night long, along with late night bites from Market Hall’s kitchen. And the dancing continued well into the evening.
Details
When Laura came to Premier Party Planners, she knew was that she wanted a fall-themed wedding and we assisted by helping her choose the right elements from CE Rentals that hit the perfect balance between festive fall and autumn elegance. For the reception, we went with gold foiled chargers and pumpkin linens with just the right amount of fall foliage.
Laura also really wanted a memory display to honor loved ones who had passed and could not be present on the day. The display was a surprise for Laura’s mother and a really beautiful touch. Another lovely detail was the quilt square guest book. Nick’s family has a tradition that for every member who gets married, quilt squares are signed at their wedding and then stitched together as a memento from the day for the new couple.
Congratulations
Laura and Nick are big time runners (think enthusiasts who back it up with putting in the miles). For their grand exit, they literally ran through the sparklers and into their new life together. Congratulation, you two!
