Kayla and Chris were the loveliest couple, and we adored working with these two high school sweethearts to plan their day. The theme was both bohemian chic and English garden in feel, and the overall design came together harmoniously for their April 2021 wedding.
Getting Ready
Chatham station has perfect places for the couple and their attendants to get ready, relax, and then grab photos in the natural light. Even with a little rain, these two were ready to say their I Dos.
The Ceremony
Sure enough, English Garden is a preferred vendor, and they worked with Kayla to created a moon arbor that we used for the ceremony and later repurposed as the perfect backdrop for their wedding cake.

If you want a study in how to dream up a beautifully coordinated wedding palette, then Kayla is your girl, and we were happy to assist her in creating that vision. The pale blue, silver, pink, coral, cream, gold and greens of the florals were matched expertly throughout the reception decor, the wedding party attire, the linens, and even the cake. The arrangements had hints of wildflower for that boho flair and the results were pretty breathtaking.
Reception
Sadly, there was no dancing.
We are joking, of course.
Kayla and Chris – along with their closest friends and family – did not get any rest during the reception. They enjoyed luscious barbecue, a glorious cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, they toasted and laughed. But mostly – they danced.
Congratulations
Kayla and Chris were able to have their photographer Brett, from Brett & Jessica Photo, capture images in downtown Cary. Finally, they were sent off with sparklers and well wishes. Congratulations to this amazing couple.
