Wedding Planning: The Maxwell: June 2024

Wedding Prep at The Maxwell

Becky and Kevin put a lot of thought into making their wedding a true reflection of their favorite things and cherished traditions. While they chose not to see each other before the ceremony, Becky had a heartfelt first look with her father, who surprised her with a special photo of the two of them sewn into his tie. She also shared an emotional moment with her bridesmaids, who couldn’t contain their happy tears for their dear friend. The couple’s wedding colors—garnet and blue—were inspired by their favorite sports teams, Penn State and Florida State, adding a personal touch to their big day.

The Maxwell June Wedding

The ceremony, like the flower arrangments, carried superb pops of color … like their Flower Man, who strew petals as he made his way down the aisle to laughter.

Becky and Kevin’s ceremony was filled with other meaningful touches. Though their beloved dogs couldn’t be part of the wedding, both Becky and Kevin wore memorial charms with his photo, keeping his spirit close to them throughout the celebration. It was a perfect ceremony, filled with charm and warmth.

Summer Wedding Details

Every element of the décor was chosen with meaning and sentiment. Their table numbers were a fun and personal touch, featuring photos of Becky and Kevin at the corresponding ages. The couple also found special ways to incorporate their love for their dogs, with a heartfelt tribute on the cake topper. Every detail, from the color scheme to the sentimental keepsakes, was thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple’s journey together.

The Maxwell Party

The reception was filled with fun, laughter, and sweet treats. Becky’s love for desserts was on full display with two dessert bars, a beautifully decorated cake, and cookie favors for guests. A special surprise from The Maxwell awaited the newlyweds after the ceremony—a mini cocktail tower featuring the bride’s favorite drink.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was a longstanding tradition in Kevin’s family: a playful, silly dance to “Mack the Knife” by Bobby Darin. The guys took it to the next level, ending up on the floor in a circle with their socks out, wriggling around in laughter. To end the night, Becky and Kevin shared a private last dance before making a grand sparkler exit.
