Cassie & Niko were married in late October of last year at The Farm on Cotton in Sanford. This was Premier’s first wedding in this gorgeous location and we hope it’s not the last. The venue’s built in pavilion created the perfect backdrop for the ceremony especially once the elaborate florals were attached overhead. The weather was heavenly and crisp and the day pretty picture perfect for the couple and their guests.
Getting Ready
Cassie and her attendants prepared for the ceremony on site, allowing photographer Alicia Hite to capture images of the gown, the grins and the gorgeous florals. The palette of soft pinks, blushes and hot pink were a stunning contrast to all of the beautiful greens on the property itself. There were plenty of spots to grab portraits.
Nico, along with his two sons from a previous marriage, arrived looking dapper. The boys were Junior Groomsmen and it was important to both Nico and Cassie to have them feel like a part of the day.
The Ceremony
Live musicians for the ceremony played classical renditions of popular love songs, as the couple said their vows in a pavilion draped in tons of florals in the bride’s palette. Cassie’s own bouquet and ribbons, along with the setting and the other arrangements made it feel like a garden wedding.
Details
These two incorporated one of the Nico’s family’s Greek traditions: the Stefana crowns. These crowns are placed on the bride & groom’s heads during the ceremony, representing the glory and honor God bestows upon the couple. They are crowned the king and queen of their kingdom, the home, which they will rule with wisdom, justice and integrity. It was a beautiful addition to the ceremony and not one that we see every day. Like the candle lighting ceremony, these touches personalize a wedding and make it memorable for years to come.
Reception
After formal dances were complete, the wedding party and their guests danced the night away under the stars, serenaded by a few bleats from the nearby goats. Guests took advantage of the photobooth, the delicious catering and bar. It was SUCH a fun party!
