Wedding Planning : The Carolina Barn September 2023
Suzanne and Brandon were married in late September of 2023 at The Carolina Barn. These two wanted a ceremony outside, but poor weather moved everything indoors. This venue is incredible, and the result was glorious.

A First Look & First Touch
For this couple, the moments prior to the ceremony were just as important as the ceremony itself. They decided to have a first touch instead of first look, and they exchanged private vows in an intimate moment before guests arrived. Both the bride and groom exchanged gifts with their parents, and these were special moments for everyone. Sarah’s father served in the military, and he donned his uniform for the day. Brandon’s father passed away, but was remembered with a memorial chair during the ceremony and throughout the day. These two really wanted to make sure that family was a party of their day.
Carolina Barn Wedding Ceremony
During the ceremony the couple chose to do a ring warming where the wedding bands are passed from guest to guest and each one says a blessing or prayer for well wishes over the rings. This is such a sweet idea. Brides and grooms to be: take note!
Guests were greeted with a polaroid guest book where their images could be added and then signed with a special message. While Sarah and Brandon’s dogs couldn’t attend the day, they were well-represented by way of two signature cocktails, named “the Samuel” and “The Gus.” Figurines of the dogs graced the cake as well.
After all of the formal goings-on, there was a quick costume change, along with lots of shoe choices, and then it was time to hit the dance floor. The mix of traditional and modern music kept everyone moving for hours.
